The International Forum on Agroecosystem Living Labs (IF-ALL 2025) brought together over 200 participants on site and around 80 online for three days of exchange, reflection, and collaboration. Representatives from North America , Latin America, Africa, and Europe shared experiences and explored new ways to foster sustainable agri-food systems.

This edition focused on public policies , highlighting how Living Labs serve as “sandboxes” —practical spaces where innovative ideas and policy approaches can be tested. The Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine showcased how Living Labs can drive regional transformation, with discussions emphasizing their role in bridging science, society, and policy.

Other key topics included fostering sustainability transitions , empowering participation, evaluating success, promoting innovation, and supporting rigorous, collaborative research.

The forum reinforced the growing global momentum of Living Labs. The next IF-ALL edition will be hosted by the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) in Germany, offering new opportunities for collaboration and learning.

A scientific report on IF-ALL 2025 will be available soon.
