Masterclass on Agroecology: "Research to Policy in Agroecology"
From 15th – 16th of December 2025, a first Masterclass on Agroecology on “Research to Policy in Agroecology” was organized by Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, I. P. (INIAV).
This 2-day event took place online.
Content
This event was organised under WP3 of the AGROECOLOGY Partnership. WP3 has the responsibility to organise every year a Masterclass or a Summer School. In 2025 a Summer School took place in April, in Elvas, Portugal and this Masterclass was set on December.
Target public
This masterclass was designed to be useful to all those involved in Agroecology: farmers, academics, researchers, consultants, policy makers, students, etc.
Objectives
The speakers are known experts in their fields and have shared their knowledge, experiences and opinions on such subjects as “successful interactions and methods with policymakers”; “Best practices to narrow the gap between research and policies” or “Transition to agroecology”.
Participants had the chance to ask questions and make comments during the Q&A periods (using the chat box).
